Broken Thoughts… Not Going To Believe What There Is To See…

The devil’s making her way inside
Her cape draped, drips with crimson
The genius that it is
A flashing image of imagination
A reality stuck in my head
Why is it we question anything that is said?
Why is it we want to be lead so blindly?
God told me once, said some shit about something
Only thought about in the darkness of a mind
The dark ages such a lovely time
Truth spread like a plague, killing all of those who said
The age of information, the day of reckoning around the corner
A sin with nothing to say and everything to lose
The devil they say, but they’ve always known the truth
Pulling the strings from down below and up high
Humanity always has to choose the same thing
Because the reason could never be as satisfying as the excuse

People are often hurtful before they say what they mean…

Lips cracked and bleeding
Purging the obvious
Drinking to wish this all away
Empty alley, a new home
Staring down death with nothing left
Had a name, gave it up to be this
Worthless as I feel
Digging in deeper with nothing to say
I wanted more but the want went away

“You couldn’t be a bigger asshole even if you were doing thirty in the passing lane…”

Walking a straight line
Trying to not fall off
Walking until my feet crack and bleed
Not enough distance between us
Not enough room on Earth
To compliment all this hurt
Over you, what’s been done
How I feel, how it has always been
Teetering on the edge of every decision
If only you knew
What it was like standing next to you
