Gut Reaction… I Thought I Believe to Be True…

Daily writing prompt
What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why?

Fallout… Skyrim… Minecraft… Anything open world… because I want to feel what it is like to actually add up to something for once… My depressive response… my gut reaction.

With actual thought it is because I’m addicted to seeing what’s around the corner… Exploring new locations and finding the secrets that may lie within… Fallout and Skyrim are amazing games, but honestly… There has to be one more location to pillage on the far side of the map. Hour 763.

If only there was enough time in a day… I know I could have conquered this life a long time ago…

I agree with the need to know what is lurking beyond. I am a huge fan of open world games as well, especially the Elder Scrolls series and anything Bethesda/ Obsidian. Are you excited for Starfield or Avowed?

Very excited about Starfield. Trying real hard to not be too excited given Bethesda’s history. If the story is there… I think it will be an amazing game. Any little bugs aside. If not… It is going to be an even longer wait for the next Elder Scrolls. The next Elder Scrolls already has enough pressure to be the next greatest game of all time that I don’t envy anybody on that development team. There’s no way that they don’t have a whole department of mental health professionals on staff for that game.

Nor do I. The amount of pressure on them is titanic – hopefully all of the labor and heartache will prove to be a positive sacrifice upon release. I know Skyrim is still in my Top 10 favorite games of all time, and probably still my favorite Dark/ Magical Fantasy RPG.

Easily… Avowed has a pretty good shot of getting in the top 10 with their lore and consistent creativity. I enjoy Fallout and its lore, but New Vegas was the most fun to explore in that series to this day… even with dated graphics. Excited for the future.
